More of the same

We travelled down to Benitses (on Corfu) which is about 11 nautical miles from Gouvia. Another good mooring up session despite nobody being there to lend a hand. After we had been for a swim we noticed a boat along the quay that was also a Sunshine 38 (same as ours). We went down to say hello and explain that we had the same boat. They were Austrian and said they had seen us come in (didn’t lend a hand though). They had apparently owned their boat for 20 years from new in fact.

A little later two of the men wandered down to check out old Stella Maris, they started asking about the engine blah blah blah, because that’s what people with boats do. They came on board to have a nose at the engine and our bits and bobs. We think they were quite impressed by the fact we have a Yanmar engine they had a Volvo one, I know it’s a shame!

They invited us to have a look at their boat which we did, have to say she was looking good for her age, much more sprightly than our Stella. We looked at the engine because that’s what people who have boats do. Their boat was called Sunshine, one of the women said they didn’t have much imagination when it came to naming her. She’s a Sunshine 38 and they called her Sunshine, I’ll let you decide!!!
